Leads. Engagement. Brand-building, content-capitalizing, website traffic wonderment. That’s right. Infographics blend the perfect combination of comic book eye candy; high-design digestibility; and brain-relaxing brevity. In fact, infographics are liked and shared on social media three times more than any other type of content! So if you’re not into infographics, it’s time to give them a try:
1. Choose the right concept. You can represent an offer with an infographic. Differentiate your customer relationship management with an infographic. Even recruit brand ambassadors with an infographic. Once you have your concept, list the ten most interesting things about it: the problems it solves; the key information it provides; the bits of trivia that relate to it; the statistics that support it; the value it delivers to your target audiences. Then, think about how you might demonstrate and link each element, visually.
2. Design like a pro, even if you’re not. If you have a designer at your disposal, fantastic. If you don’t, there’s no reason you can’t create inspiring infographics. Design sites like Venngage and Canva are free and easy to use. You can also check out these free infographic templates to get you started.
3. Showcase your finished product. Give special consideration to promoting your infographic as the crown jewel of visual collateral it is, deserving of particular attention. Start by writing a blog post to exhibit the infographic on your website. Keep the copy short and sweet, and include a compelling title that makes your target audiences want to click on it. If your infographic details an offer, don’t forget to include a call to action. And finally, enhance the impact of your infographic by including social share buttons and/or links in your blog post. After all, in the world of social brand power, an infographic might just be worth 1,001 words!
